ABOUT

Tiny Cloud Press was founded with the mission to create inspiring children's books for early readers and adults alike to enjoy. Kathleen was searching for a fun aviation book for her daughter that was designed for girls too. After many failed attempts, her husband joked that if she wanted to find one she needed to write it herself. She created Piper the Pilot and hopes that it brings joy into many homes.

MEET THE AUTHOR

Meet Kathleen, she resides with her husband and daughter in Austin, Texas. After graduating Texas A&M Corpus Christi with a Bachelors Degree in Kinesiology, she moved to south Texas. For the next 5 years, she assisted her husband in operating an aviation business. During this time, she started flight lessons in a Cessna 172, and earned her Private Pilot License. Several months later, baby Mia arrived, and they eventually relocated to Austin to be closer to family.

MEET THE ILLUSTRATOR

Meet Alenka, the creative artist that brought Piper the Pilot to life with her thoughtful illustrations. Since childhood, art has always been a large part of Alenka's life. She graduated from Faculty of Education/Art Pedagogy with a Masters degree in Illustration. Since then, she has more than 20 years as a freelance illustrator, specializing in illustrations for children. Alenka resides in Slovenia and her passion is bringing stories to life through her paintings.
